Vape batteries come in two main types: built-in and external. Built-in batteries are integrated into the device and charged via USB. External batteries (like 18650, 20700, or 21700 cells) are removable and used in more advanced kits or mods. External batteries offer more power, flexibility, and longer lifespan when cared for properly.

Always check your device’s specifications or manufacturer recommendations before buying a battery. The key factors are battery size (e.g., 18650), amp rating, and capacity (mAh). Using the wrong type can damage your device or reduce performance. When in doubt, go for trusted brands like Molicel, Samsung, or Sony VTC for reliable power and safety.

If you’re using a device with a built-in battery, charge it with the original USB cable and avoid overnight charging. For external batteries, it’s best to use a dedicated vape battery charger — it balances each cell correctly and helps prevent overcharging. Always charge on a flat, non-flammable surface and never leave batteries unattended while charging.

Keep batteries in a protective case when not in use, never loose in your pocket or bag with keys or coins, as this can cause short-circuiting. Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures. If the battery wrap is damaged or torn, replace it immediately or recycle the cell safely.

With proper care, most rechargeable vape batteries last 6–12 months, or around 300–500 charge cycles. Signs it’s time for a replacement include shorter battery life, overheating, or failure to hold a charge. Recycle old batteries at approved collection points, never dispose of them in household waste.
